A balanced curriculum of morning expert lectures and afternoon hands-on computer workshops.
Comprehensive introduction to satellite orbits, electromagnetic spectrum, sensor physics, and the Copernicus Sentinel constellation architecture. Led by Dr. Moulay Anwar Sounny-Slitine & Dr. Bertrand Goldman.
Hands-on computer lab on loading Sentinel satellite scenes, radiometric calibration, and computing vegetation/water indices (NDVI, NDWI) to analyze surface land changes.
In-depth exploration of climate resilience use cases across terrestrial ecosystems, coastal erosion, wildfire tracking, and oceanographic monitoring using Copernicus marine & land services.
Field visit and interactive workshop at SERTIT (Regional Teledetection Service, ICube, University of Strasbourg). Participants simulate rapid satellite mapping during natural disasters and floods.
Commercialization of Earth Observation data, startup opportunities, EU CASSINI space initiatives, CNES incubator programs, and business models for satellite data downstream services.
Participant team project presentations, discussion on future EO integration in policy/industry, certificate distribution, and executive networking event in Pioneers' Hall.
